The Hauppauge Industrial Park, located just off the Long Island Expressway and the Northern State Parkway, is one of the largest industrial parks on the east coast and the entire country. This park is 1,400 acres and contains numerous manufacturing sites, offices, and warehouses. There are 13.9 million square feet of Industrial / R&D space and 3.1 million square feet of office space. This vast park is home to about 1,650 businesses (technology, manufacturing, biomedical, and pharmaceuticals) and employs over 55,000 Long Island residents, and is responsible for about 1 in 20 jobs across Long Island. The HIA-LI (Hauppauge Industrial Association of Long Island) received a $650,000 fund to develop a plan for enhancing the road infrastructure of the Hauppauge Industrial Park. This will increase the inflow and outflow of access to the park. The HIP vision is for college graduates to find it simple and convenient to live, work, and enjoy all close to their employment because of the plan's integration of residential and commercial real estate. Some of the most desirable areas in New York State for company establishment are found on Long Island, including Garden City, Mineola, Rockville Centre, Melville, Patchogue, and Smithtown. Long Island is known for its extensive resources and benefits like tax breaks, which are essential for newly developed businesses looking to grow and expand across the state. The Hauppauge Industrial Park represents the ideal environment for expansion and growth for businesses across Long Island
